In 2003, I listened as Louis Turpen, then President of The Greater Toronto Airports Authority ("Authority"), told senior staff that employees departing from Toronto- Lester B. Pearson International Airport ("Pearson") should be interviewed for valuable feedback. When I departed in 2005, I was disappointed but not surprised that Vito Lotito, then Vice-President of Human Resources, did not ask me for an exit interview.
I rectified that omission by conducting my own exit interview and sending it to the Authority's Board of Directors and Executive.
